New residential project offering accommodation for families with children, senior citizens as well as a start-up accommodation for young people is being built close to the Prague Airport and a planned Prague underground route. Apartment sizes and their intended number in individual sections will offer their inhabitants pleasant living conditions. High quality materials used during the construction and the operational and construction solutions of the residence contribute to comfortable usage and acceptable costs of operation and maintenance.
Residential project Za školou meets the most demanding requirements for modern living. It is located in Prague 6 – Suchdol in direct vicinity of Mikoláš Aleš Primary School. This area has always had a suburban character with family houses surrounded by gardens. Residential buildings with shops and services on the ground floor can be found on the square or as parts of a number of newly constructed residential complexes. The development towards more urban housing is due to the advantageous location interconnecting important historic and business centres of the capital city in combination with proximity of nature offering various possibilities for leisure time activities and sports. Attractiveness of the area has been increased by the Agricultural University.
The disposition of the 5 buildings of the project includes underground garages, as well as, pedestrian access zones on the ground floor. Each building has individual access into the garages from the common staircase and buildings A and D also have lifts. Entrances from the paths are individual for each building. Buildings B, C and E feature apartments on two above-ground floors and two-storey apartments on the fourth floor. Buildings A and D have two-storey buildings in the fifth floor. Most of the apartments have either a terrace or a balcony while the ground floor apartments feature a terrace connected to the garden.
The architectonic form draws from modern shapes and materials. The entire residence is in harmony with the neighbouring building of primary school with and a nearby Sokol meeting house with gables, which inspired the roof solution of B, C and E buildings. Two0storey bay windows present a dominant feature of the facades of the gabled houses. These bay windows are designed from light grey plaster and are standing out of the surrounding façade of dark brick-orange colour. Windows on the facades have sliding wooden shutters embedded in iron railings of natural zinc colour. Other windows have outer blinds. Windows are wooden except the entrance and shop windows, which are made of aluminium in its natural colour. Numerous terraces were designed so as to enable all-year-round greenery. Gable roof is made out of flat dark grey artificial slate. There are stone walls, wooden pergolas and decking combined with pebbles and lawns.
