FeelHome will be a sponsor of the presentation of Meyto, a new brand of Czech design furniture, which is to be introduced at this year's Designblok international festival at the Prague Exhibition Grounds (Výstaviště).
The Meyto brand is the result of a cooperation between the Olgoj Chorchoj studio, the D3 studio of the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague (UMPRUM), and the Tvarmetal company from Vysoké Mýto. The first project, pioneering a future collection which is to tell the story of Czech furniture, is the nostalgic Czech School Chairs collection. It will involve two types of chairs, one designed by Tereza Froňková with the Olgoj Chorchoj studio, while the other comes from Aleš Kachlík from UMPRUM. The collection’s design concept is based on the school chairs that were used in primary schools throughout Czechoslovakia. In comparison to the original pieces, the chairs by Meyto are significantly modified, both ergonomically and technologically, being completely adjusted to today's textures, color schemes, etc.
Designblok Prague International Design Festival will be held at the Prague Exhibition Grounds (Výstaviště) from the 26th to the 30th of October. It is the biggest festival of design and fashion in the CEE region and dates back to 1999 when it was established.
