Železářství U Rotta

Vincenc Josef Rott founded the Prague hardware store V.J. Rott in 1840. The motto of this traditional family hardware store read, “Rott sells everything“, which in practice meant about 70,000 types and sizes of metal ware, from watch wheels to everything necessary for any trade or factory workshop. The other, but not less important motto of the company was “Service to the public in the first place“ and the hardware company has been observing both these mottos and continues to today.

At the two U Rotta stores in the Old Town area of Prague and at the Vysočany store in Prague 9 you can find a wide range of tools, ironwork, screws, wood screws, dowels, paints and varnishes, electro material and machine fitting. Besides the sale of common hardware products, U Rotta also manufactures keys and offers engraving service. With purchases exceeding CZK 3,000 U Rotta will deliver your goods in Prague for free.
