Architect and designer Bohuslav Horák creates design lighting for your home or office interior, as well as glass objects and many other primarily hand-made accessories and furniture for your home or office interior and exterior or garden.
His brand, Design Studio Horák, founded in 1991, is comprised of unique table lamps, glasses, mirrors, candlesticks, coat racks, garden furniture inspired by nature, and other design objects made in small limited-production series. Design products by Bohuslav Horák spread throughout the world quickly after his brand was created, mainly thanks to his intense cooperation with the German distribution company Anthologie Quartett. Today you can find his work not only in private collections, but also in museums around the world. It also often appears in art books and prestigious magazines. In 1987 Boda Horák co-founded the legendary group of designers ATIKA, which became a part of the European Post-Modernist movement of the 1980s. In 2012 Boda Horák and sculptor and glass designer Vladimíra Klumpar founded the M.O.M (My Object Muses) brand, for which the two of them, and other designers, create glass interior design items.
Design objects by Boda Horák are exhibited in renowned galleries all over the world – in the past these were Dadriade Roma or Moss Gallery in New York, just to name a couple. If you have your heart set on any of the original interior accessories by Design Studio Horák, you can readily buy them in Prague in the Qubus design shop at DOX, the Praguekabinet store, and the Křehký Gallery. Horák's works of art are also offered online in the Vltavadesign.cz and domov.cz e-shops.
