On Saturday, September 23, the 5th annual charity futsal tournament, SVOBODA & WILLIAMS CUP took place at the Aréna Sparta – Podvinný mlýn in Libeň. Altogether 12 teams representing companies from the world of real estate and banking fought to win the Svoboda & Williams challenge cup. Thanks to scoring two goals in the final the bpd development team was the lucky winner. The amount of CZK 183 900 raised during the tournament will support the Tereza Maxová Foundation. The amount was symbolically handed over to Terezie Sverdlinová, the director of the foundation, and Renata Langmannová, the ambassador of the TERIBEAR project.
The participants of this year’s SVOBODA & WILLIAMS CUP were teams representing Accolade – Panattoni, bpd development, CBRE, Colliers International, CPI Property Group, CTP Invest, Cushman & Wakefield, Československá obchodní banka, Jones Lang LaSalle, Knight Frank, Sentient and the organizing Svoboda & Williams. The Svoboda & Williams challenge cup went to the bpd development team which beat the CPI Property Group team in the tournament's final. The bronze medal went to the Jones Lang LaSalle team. The best player of the tournament award went to Miroslav Koutenský from the bpd development team, while Jiří Žáček from the Svoboda & Williams team received the best goalkeeper of the tournament award.
Thanks to the voluntary contributions of the participating companies and the profit from the sale of the charity raffle tickets, this year’s SVOBODA & WILLIAMS CUP gathered the record amount of CZK 183 900, exceeeding the yield of last year’s tournament by almost CZK 40 000. The whole amount will go to the account of the Tereza Maxová Foundation, which helps disadvantaged and abandoned children, aiming to enable them to lead a healthy and safe life in a family environment.
The organizers managed to create a pleasant and welcoming event for the whole family. Fun activities for children during the tournament were provided by Pididomek, a family-style kindergarten and nursery (with an extended English lesson plan). Fans and players alike could enjoy refreshments provided by Prague Catering and take part in a charity raffle with valuable prizes, including two vouchers from Invelt for renting a car for a weekend (amounting to CZK 7500), and two vouchers for accommodation in PRAGUE STAY apartments.
The raffle prizes and prizes for awarded teams and individuals were kindly donated by sponsors of the tournament.
