The Řepy Sports Center hosted the SVOBODA & WILLIAMS CUP this year on October 7th. The traveling cup of the charity futsal tournament is now being deservedly enjoyed by the winning team from CTP.

Final tournament results

On a sunny fall Saturday, major companies from the real estate business competed in the tournament this year. The Accolade, CBRE, Colliers International, CPI Property Group, CTP, Cushman & Wakefield, Panattoni, Savills, Trigema, and Svoboda & Williams teams vied to win the traveling cup, which for the following year will decorate the offices of CTP, whose team won 5:2 against the silver medalists from Cushman & Wakefield, their first ever medal in the tournament after coming in fourth last year. CBRE took home the bronze. Matěj Naskos from Cushman & Wakefield was named best player of the tournament and Jan Rulf from CTP the best goalie.

Thanks to the voluntary contributions of the participating companies, a donation by Demaco, and the sale of tickets to the charity raffle, which this year included tickets to the SK Slavia Praha vs. AS Roma UEFA Europa League game and a night for two at the Dobříš Chateau as the main prizes, a total of CZK 288,100 was collected. The entire amount will go to the Tereza Maxová Foundation, which has been helping disadvantaged and abandoned children since 1997 and helps each of them to be raised by a loving family.

“I would like to thank the organizers of the S&W Cup for their long-term support and help, which we appreciate immensely,” says Terezie Sverdlinová, Director of the Tereza Maxová Foundation. The organization will use this year’s proceeds to support families in need as part of its Crisis Relief Fund. “We will support single parents in a difficult life situation facing serious economic and social problems who are trying to provide their children with a peaceful and safe home. We want to extend a helping hand and ease their troubles to prevent extreme cases that may lead to children being removed from their families.”

“We’re trying to at least maintain, but also improve the level of our tournament, which we held for the first time in 2013, so I can definitely say it’s a tradition now,” says Jaroslav Waldhauser, head of commercial leasing at Svoboda & Williams. “Over the nine years that it’s been played, we’ve managed to raise almost 2 million crowns, all of which was used for a good cause. The quality of the players has also gone up significantly. Some teams prepare for the tournament year-round, which you can see in the results. Most teams now have a large fanbase in the stands, which helps create a friendly atmosphere,” he adds. Next year will be the 10th S&W Cup. “This milestone will be an opportunity to think about whether we can do more with the whole event, or if we should find another way to support the foundation,” Waldhauser concludes.

This year, the organizers once again prepared a relaxed social event for the whole family. The youngest fans were entertained by the Kampa Community Center, and excellent refreshments were provided by Prague Catering. Raffle prizes were kindly donated by the following partners: Bistro Antonio Sandev, BOBOVÁ DRÁHA PROSEK, Hotel Pivoňka, IK drinks, La Cave D‘Adrien, Masarykova N°30 Apartments, MOOQ, Pivovar Cvikov, Pivovar ČESTMÍR, Restaurant L'Osteria, REVOLUTION RIDE, SK Slavia Praha, TERIBEAR, Výčep U Rarášků, Warehouse # 1, and Zámek Dobříš.

We would like to thank Czech Sport Media for taking care of the sports side of the cup and to the Řepy Sports Center, which offered its modern facilities to ensure the success of the tournament.
