POTRVÁ theater group

The POTRVÁ Theater Group, established in 2006 by several students of different Prague universities is based in its own premises at the POTRVÁ cafe in Prague’s Dejvice where it excels at various art disciplines.

The core of the group consists of three students of Theater Studies at the Faculty of Arts (Charles University) – Vojtěch Poláček, Antonín Troup and Petr Vácha. Before settling permanently at the POTRVÁ café, the theater group performed at various theaters and clubs. The group creates pieces drawing from its own texts, as well as from original famous plays. The aim of the POTRVÁ Theater Group is to stage “fresh plays“, to search for the undiscovered in existing dramas and to experiment. The resulting plays have therefore only little in common with the original play.

Besides the POTRVÁ group, spectators can also see many other guests perform at the POTRVÁ café. Concerts, showings, lectures and exhibitions are often on the program. You can make your cultural experience at the POTRVÁ café even more rich thanks to freshly roasted La Bohème coffee, draft beer, Kofola soda water and much more.
