Ponrepo-Bio Konvikt

Ponrepo-Bio Konvikt is an independent art house movie theater that shows vintage films, non-commercial international movies, Czech classics with English subtitles and more. Ponrepo is also the proud home to the National Film Archive.

Ponrepo is a club theater, which means you have to purchase an annual card for only 150 CZK per year to enjoy the entertaining films. If you are a student or a senior you can enjoy a 50 CZK discount.

Ponrepo-Bio Konvikt is situated in the historic Bio Konvikt, which was originally a medieval refectory but then become an important cultural center that held balls, concerts and theater performances in Prague’s Old Town at the end of the 18th century as well as in the beginning of the 19th century. It is interesting to note that this cultural center had prime foreign visitors including Beethoven and Wagner. In current times Prague inhabitants enjoy Ponrepo as one of the best independent movie theaters in the city. The theater has been completely renovated and presents its former beauty gracefully.
