Helena Dařbujánová, originally an architect, joined the world of furniture design in 2009 and established her own brand three years later. The same year she impressively participated in the Maison & Objet Paris design show as a part of the Czech selection.
Design pieces made by Helena Dařbujánová present much more than the latest materials, perfect stitching or trendy colors – on the contrary, this festive and eccentric designer brings poetry back into life through design. Helena simply makes it clear that design is not a serious business, but a way to make life more pleasant. Each piece of furniture by the Helena Dařbujánová brand celebrates femininity. Rounded, elegant shapes, soft looking wooden materials, subtle shades of color coating, velvet inlays – all presented collections inevitably fascinate women who reminisce about their childhood bedroom. Made with top Czech materials, all the whimsical products are manufactured by reputable regional craftsmen from the ranks of upholsterers, cabinetmakers, tailors and metalworkers - all at the top of their profession. Helena Dařbujánová celebrates success with her brand in her homeland as well as all around the globe, she takes part in exhibitions and trade fairs in Paris, Milan, Shanghai and other world cities regularly and has collected quite a few EDIDA awards (Elle Decor International Design Awards). There are many other remarkable pieces designed by Helena Dařbujánová, such as the extravagant, beautiful Macarons, small seats that can be unfolded to create a cushioned seat, several pieces of the AUDREY collection including an incredibly feminine commode with velvet inlays, and a bed, for which she won the EDIDA 2016 award. Some of the products from the AUDREY collection and several others were photographed by Bára Prašilová, a renowned Czech photographer and multiple winner of the Grand Czech Design award, who has brought Helena Dařbujánová closer to the public eye with her distinctive visual conception.
