Pupils at the Kladská Elementary School start early with German – in the first grade – while English is taught from the sixth grade. In the sixth grade children also have the possibility to take on another language by attending optional courses – the school offers French, Spanish and Italian. As early as the third grade, children have five hours of German per week and a conversation class with a native speaker. In the 8th and 9th grades children can take the Fit in Deutsch language exam, held in cooperation with the Goethe Institute. Pupils also have the opportunity to go abroad for regular trips and exchange programs, so that they can test their language skills in practice. The school is involved in the EU Commenius program along side schools from Germany, Denmark, Estonia, France and Turkey.

You can learn more about the history of the school, founded in 1902, on its website and above all in the historic school chronicles that are kept at the school. Since 2000 the school has been used as a faculty school for the training of future teachers studying at the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague, ensuring quality education for all.
