Písnice Elementary School with Extended Language Program

The elementary school in Písnice features an extended language program and has more than one hundred years of history; it is located on the southern edge of Prague surrounded by areas of pretty ponds and lush forests.

Children can enroll in Písnice Elementary School's extended language program for the first five grades of their compulsory education. Languages taught include English, which children have at least two hours a week from the first grade, and German or Spanish, which are options from the fourth grade. You can be sure that they will love the family-like atmosphere at the school, which follows the motto “don’t worry, be happy”. Teachers at Písnice Elementary School want to make children's education as entertaining as possible, so they use modern technology and the best teaching methods, as seen in their use of interactive boards, and more. When the weather is nice, children do not have to sit in classrooms all day long, but have some of their classes outside under a garden gazebo. Thanks to a reconstruction in 2000, children can use a beautiful room for afternoon club activities, a computer lab and language lab in the attic of the school.

The school also offers many after-school activities, such as ceramics, IT, yoga and photography classes. For sports activities, the school has at its disposal its own sports ground with an artificial surface that serves as an ice-skating rink in winter. There is also a canteen at the school offering a choice of two meals.
