Years of experience, a strong portfolio, an individual attitude and endless creativity - all this and more is presented by the Prague-based Formafatal studio that consists of architects, designers and stage designers, all of whom are close friends.
Together, they engage in architecture, interior and product design as well as exhibition installations, having taken part in a wide range of successful and famous projects. The majority of those projects is somehow connected with interior design, for it is the main specialization of this lovely studio. The list of projects implemented by the Formafatal studio includes the Sovovy mlýny restaurant and cafe in Malá Strana, the Gran Fierro Argentinian steak house situated near Národní třída and the romantic, white kitchen that was used in the "Diary of Dita P." television show. Moreover, the studio has been cooperating with the Burrito Loco Czech restaurant chain, which has Mexican bistros all over Prague. Thanks to Formafatal, many of the bistros feature a stylish, gently colored interior with clean lines and basic symbols that resemble Mexican culture. Alongside restaurants, bistros and other gastronomic enterprises, the Formafatal studio focuses on showrooms, hairdressing salons and stores, as well as offices, family houses and apartments, the most significant of which is the Hřebenky Loft. Boasting an industrial interior with wooden, steel and other evocative elements, this spacious residential apartment has been awarded in several Czech and international competitions. The Formafatal studio was founded in 2014 by Dagmar Štěpánová, an architect with experience gained during years at the Mimolimit studio (led by Barbora Škorpilová). As a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of the CTU in Prague, Dagmar's carrier started with the larger scale of architecture, including urban units planning and building plans. Later she moved to interior projects, which are much smaller, yet of great importance - since the interior is where we spent the majority of our time - and co-founded the studio that now belongs among the most successful ones in Prague.
