Riegrovy Sady (Rieger’s Park) that takes its name from a significant Czech journalist, politician and representative of the National Party or Old Czechs, is located on a large elevation between Vinohrady and Žižkov. This fascinating park has been a favorite destination for Prague citizens since its foundation more than one hundred years ago.

Riegrovy Sady will be appreciated by adults and children alike; the smallest ones will be attracted by the regularly cleaned playground with many imaginative attractions located near the park entrance from Chopinova street, bigger children will enjoy the asphalt sidewalks ideal for skateboarding and bike riding, and adults will certainly enjoy a visit to the popular beer garden with a screen and good draft beer that you can drink seated at wooden tables placed under leafy trees. Also of interest in the park is the Mlíkárna café, an establishment that currently reopened in a former dairy building, offering rooftop seating, a wide selection of drinks and tempting sausages.

If you or your children love sports, it is important to note that the Sokol sports facility with a swimming pool, gym and athletic stadium offering many sporting activities for very reasonable prices is located in Riegrovy Sady. The park will also please those wishing for some romantic time, since the park offers stunning views of the exquisite panorama of the Prague Castle, simply magical during sunset.
