Divadlo Minor is located not far from New Town Hall, where it has been operating since 2001, though it was originally established in 1950 as the Ústřední Loutkové Divadlo (Central Puppet Theater), whose home was in a building on Senovážné Náměstí that no longer exists.
The repertoire of the Divadlo Minor is comprised of many plays for children as young as 3 years of age, however, its amusing plays will appeal to the whole family regardless of age. Emphasis is placed on original art and musical components, and many plays are accompanied by live music. At Divadlo Minor children can see a puppet play about Brouček (Beetle) inspired by the famous book by Jan Karafiát, the adventurous story of Bruncvík a Lev (Bruncvík and Lion), the play Hon na Jednorožce (Hunt for the Unicorn) that takes place in the 1950s, a football play for the whole family called Klapzubova Jedenáctka (Klapzuba's Football Team), as well as many other entertaining and high-quality performances.
Besides the Divadlo Minor and its box office, the Minor passage is also home to the Minor Gallery with a year-round exhibition and accompanying entertainment, as well as the Minor souvenir shop. The Minor Gallery holds creative workshops for children on weekends.
