Located in the lovely and lush green spaces of Petrin Hill and Kinsky Garden is the Musaion Ethnographic Exhibition, a division of the National Museum. This attractive summerhouse showcases the colorful and intriguing history of regional culture in the Czech lands.
The Kinsky Summerhouse, an Empire style building has housed the ethnographic collection since 2005. The museum focuses on the old regional culture of the Czech Republic, especially in the areas of housing, farming, habits, folk art and material life, spiritual life and more. All of this ties into how current day production of folk art and crafts takes place. The museum holds interesting social gatherings, workshops, special exhibitions, workshops and more. Folklore concerts can even be enjoyed at the museum.
Furthermore the Kinsky Summerhouse also features a library, archive, a museum shop with publications and a discussion hall. A lovely café is also present in the space that features outdoor seating in the summer months.
