Located in Prague 7 close to the ever-popular Letna Park is the National Technical Museum. Freshly renovated and reopened in 2011 the National Technical Museum is one of most interesting museums in Prague and is enjoyed by both children and adults alike.
The National Technical Museum has over 58,000 objects in their massive collection, out of which 15 percent are on display. The historical artifacts from Bohemian history on display include astronomical objects from the 16th century used by the one and only Tycho Brahe, the first Czechoslovak car, an impressive collection of the oldest Daguerreotypes in the world and much more. The National Technical Museum also boasts a library with over 25,000 titles.
Fields covered at the National Technical Museum include architecture, acoustics, building and consumer industry, electric engineering, food industry, cinematography, photography, chemistry, biotechnology, industrial design, mining, railway and transport and metallurgy.
